#134224 CoachDan (User) I'm Mechanically Inclined, I Screw Up Everything. Platinum Boarder Posts: 1040 Slime Really Does Work On Tube Tires 3 Years, 7 Months ago   It really does work on tubes. Few of us went for a ride yesterday afternoon, and one of the guys picked up big ol nail 30 miles from nearest town to get it fixed, or get any help for that matter. I had my compact Slime pump, and bottle of Slime for tubes in saddlebag, but had never had opertunity of using it. Pulled the nail out, rolled bike backward so nail hole was on bottom, removed valve core, emptied bottle of slime into tube, replaced valve core, air up tire, and finished the afternoon. Buddy will replace tube this week just to be on safe side, but the Slime made for tubes did work. Can't say how it works for flats since I havn't had one (yet) or if I did pick up a nail I havn't noticed it yet!! WHEN CHANGING TO THE NEW SET I NOTICED A BIG OLD CEMENT NAIL IN MY REAR TIRE. I DON'T KNOW HOW LONG IT WAS IN THERE BUT I DIDN'T LOSE ANY AIR IN THE TIRE. I WOULD SAY RIDE ON WORKS !!! Looks like Wyvern is okay with it so far.
