Bikers On Parade for the USA 3 Years, 6 Months ago

Sunday was a beautiful day in Gainesville, Florida. We had approximately 1500 bikes show up for our 8th Annual Veteran's ride. This year we raised over $100,000 for local veteran's groups and for the American Red Cross. Our two Grand Marshals we two wounded Iraq Vets. One had every bone in his body broken when a bomb blew up his Humvee. He lost a leg, but rode his own retrofitted bike in the parade.The other had lost both legs, but he was the only survivor when his Humvee was hit by a rocket. He rode in a sidecar. It was a really emotional day for everyone.
We should also qualify with Guiness Book of World Records for the Longest Motorcycle Parade, at 23 miles under permit and police escort and, once the final tally is counted, for the largest Veteran's Day Motorcycle Parade. Check out www.bikersonparade.com.
The World Champion Precision motorcycle Drill Team from Central Florida performed. Those guys are incredible.
I hope that you all are participating in a Veteran's Day activity tomorrow. We owe our Vets and First Responders alot.

That is so cool. It is nice to see all the tributes to our service people now. Unlike a few years back. I hope that you all are participating in a Veteran's Day activity tomorrow. . I will be driving my Classic 56 Chevy in our local Veteran's Day Parade. This community I live in is about 60,000 so it is small enough to come together and show it's patriotism.
