I smoked 21 years tried everything to quit, patch, gum, etc. One day the old man (dad) said this (you will quit when you want to quit). I stopped smoking 6 years ago cold turkey on my family's vacation and his words were the things i thought about when i wanted (dying)for one, havent had one since and it was the best thing i could have done for my health. Good luck, be strong, be safe.

Smoked 2 packs a day for 29 years, Quit cold turkey (best way) Haven't had one since. (I do still smoke in my dreams thou )

Still haven't had one since I quit on December 20...miss them a little, but not like I used to. I'm to the point now where I can walk by someone who has just had one and think "Ack! Is that what I used to smell like?" But I'll never be one of those preachy holier-than-thou militant ex-smokers I wanted to punch before December 20... RK
