We have a big fair up this way every fall, and I seldom miss the tractor pull. Every year the old 2 wheel drive farm tractors (Minneaplois Moline - Deere - International - Massey Harris - etc.) outpull the tricked out 4 wheel drive trucks that pull right after them by several thousand pounds... and they do so at less than half the RPMs! There was a guy here playing a youtube clip of an old steam engine the other day, and I had to get up and see what that sound was as it brought back vivid memories. Then, I saw a couple of good youtube clips of some of those pulls with the R. Amazing what just two cylinders could do (oops, forgot momentarily who my audience was )...
