AIS question 3 Years, 6 Months ago
Quick AIS question....

You know the tube you block off with a golf tee?

Where does that route to on the motor? I'm thinking I read somewhere it goes into the rear cylider. If so, exactly where? Top? Side?

Thanks all....greeny

The only thing you might block with a tee would be the vacuum line from the intake manifold. It would be better to take it off all together and use a proper vacuum port cap.

Re:AIS question 3 Years, 6 Months ago
Thanks fireman, but there lies my problem. I need to know where it goes so I can cap it off. I originally plugged it and now I can't find it. Fell off maybe? That or my dealer removed it. It's been backfiring a bunch lately and can't seem to get rid of it. I'm wondering if it's uncapped causing the BFing.

Back to the original question. Anyone know exactly where it connects to?

Thanks all....greeny

What fireman922 said. There's a vacum line to the top of your intake manifold and if it's open you'll get the backfire.

It goes to the top of the intake manifold. Look in the Tech articles. There are write ups there on AIS removal in there.

Yeah, I'd pull the tank immediately and look at the top of the manifold...right there in the middle of it is where the line should be, or else they capped it. Make sure that don't leak air!
