I've ridden Victorys but never warmed up to them because of the overall look... especially the jugs. If I was going to venture in to that kind of money I'd sure look at one of his. He had BMC Chopper bobbers too which was kind of interesting. Prices on everything was very good.....except the parts I was buying to adapt to my Roadie! Oucc, ouch, ouch..... I agree about the Victory having goofy looking jugs. One of the problems with many metrics is they dont pay attention to that and it does matter. I mean the pistons are round so the jugs should be too. The bike is curved and sleek and aerodynamic, and then those big square jugs sticking out there like a sore thumb... Pfft... That's exactly it. It's a clashing of lines, of elements, of style. I don't think much of the wheels, either. They are hideous and do nothing at all for the appearance of the bike. I'd like to meet the engineers and design people who stood back from that and said, "Now THAT is a pretty bike!" I guess there's just no accounting for taste....
