Ok you guys guess what it is. I wasn't sure if it was an old sportster like maybe '83 or earlier. The shifter was on the right and the rear brake was on the left. I love the right side peg. I think it was an old shock or a door plunger. The shifter was a piece of galvanized conduit. The pipes looked like they were straight out of the head no baffles. I waitied around but didn't get to hear it. Picture

I took this at last weeks Toy for Tots ride. I thik we had about 2500-3000 riders show up but haven't heard the count yet.

Definitely an old iron head sportster, nice work but I would leave the conduit for what it is intended for and do a better job with the shifter,,,Riding that rig with the shifter on the right and brakes on the left would take some getting used to, but sure looks like alot of fun!

Right hand shift ended in the early 70's if my memory is right. One of my best bikes was a '76 ironhead sporty.

You can see why they stopped doing it, pretty cool to own one, but had to be dangerous.

You can thank the transportation dept. for that. People would hop on the bike take off, panic when something went wrong and down shift instead of brake.

Yep, ole sporty rat bike. That suicide shift could wind up in a painful place if they ever had to lay it down though. I bet it is awkward to shift without a suicide clutch.
