AIS whirring (Cougar) 5 Years, 4 Months ago
Hey Coug,
You were talking about the fact that you think your AIS makes a whirring noise.
It does! Your'e not just hearing things, and the noise really is OUTSIDE OF YOUR HEAD!
I thought there was something wrong with my engine, it sounded like a thrust bearing surface on the crank or transmission was getting toasted.
One day I had the bike sitting there warming up, and I thoght I could really hear this strange noise near the front of the bike. I was feeling around and my finger got sucked onto the end of the AIS air intake ... The noise stopped!
Went and got my tools and ripped the AIS off. No more stupid annoying noise!
