If you could pick a second bike ...or third 3 Years, 5 Months ago
I stopped by the grocery store on the way home today and parked next to my bike was a Yamaha Raider and a Harley Road King. I walked around both bikes admiring them as they were both very nice scooters. Anyway, my eyes kept being drawn to the Raider and then it hit me: I always thought the * designers took the road king, fat boy and the heritage and put them together to make a bike that blended them all: a bike that looks similar to all three (depending on how it's set-up) and rides similar to either if you could blend them. I have been looking alot at my * front fender and its just the same as my Fat boy but a deeper pinch emulating some of the Heritage lines. Way cool !!! The important note here is they can appeal to both the cruizer market and the touring market. Anyway, as I looked at the Raider I saw a similar theme: It looked like a cross between the Duece and the Rocker. The tank is all Duece (the simliarity is amazing) and so are the lines and a similar fender. But the stance, rake and tires are all Rocker. The icing on the cake of course is the price. How do they do it???!!!!

Its like they take the best features of bikes and blend them, then turn around and sell them for half price...just my opinion and I am still amazed!!

Anyway, if I could have a second (and sell my Harley) or a third bike (keeping the Harley) I would most definately choose the Raider. Just looks alone make it one bad bike. I like the Road King, but that bike would become redundant in my stable as I already have a touring cruiser. Next year I'm selling the HD and buying a Raider. I have to have one!!! I haven't even ridden it yet, but it would compliment the Road * perfectly. What do ya'll think you would have if you could pick another bike to put in your stable?

I bought my Roadie in March and liked it so much that I added a Venture along side of it. I like it so much I want to get a V-Max.

Been riding my Roadie for over a year now--it was my Brother-in-law's bike---until I purchased it last Sept from him. I tried to register it on 9-11 but due to DMV/MVA regs--I didn't have the right paperwork. But at the end of Sept it is now mine and I love it. Do you ever get out of the DMV in one visit???? Hey he has several bikes--a few might be for sale--a really nice BMW--heated seats and adjustable windsheild, and a 6 cyl Valkerie(spelling)--He likes to ride his Yamaha Venture I think it is--radio and all. I tend to like hearing my engine purr. VROOM VROOM

I'm definitely thinking Raider and/or V-Max myself!

I've an '01 V-Star 1100 Custom now, alongside my R*,but I'm thinking it's definitely time to move on and step up to something different. It's been real nice, but...
