Re:Air filter mod 5 Years, 4 Months ago
I've got 3-1" holes in the front and 2 in the back, all with air box vent foam plugs. Going to add 2 more holes at 1 o'clock and 11 o'clock on the top this weekend. Just got my Barons/Kuryaken Jet Kit, and power cone so that's next. I've ridden in major rain and the filter stayed dry. The air box is hiding behind my leg anyway.

I don't think you need to turn the air box into swiss cheese either. I prefer to think of the stock air box mods as a "Stealth BAK" as opposed to "Poor Man's BAK". I could afford a BAK but I really don't like seeing the air filter that much. I'm a prude that way. I do like to see women in sexy underwear but then I don't think I'd enjoy them in strategicaly located K&N filters nearly as much.
