Well, even when spring hits there is a lot of salt dust around until like late May and even June depending on April showers.
Don't let it stop you. When you get back use Mcguires Quick Wheel http://www.autogeek.net/mequwhdemiwi.htmlon any parts that have a coating of salt painted or not. Then slap more wax on. I use Insulator Wax, stuff hangs in there, Power company's use it on electric lines I get it at NAPA. It ain't cheap but lasts through anything.

I ruined my rear wheel last winter riding and not getting all the salt off. I vowed to not get the back out this winter until the salt was off the roads. Hope I can get the vow.
To those of you in warm weather states, may a camel with a weak bladder find your lemonade.

Been riding as long as the weather allows..... In fact, it's 25 degrees out now and I plan on going on a group ride over to Tellico Plains, Tn

Gonna be a great day.....!!

Currently not riding in Maryland, Baltimore area--I can't find a glove to fit over the splint on my throttle pinky!! And it would look like I'm drinking tea--pinky straight out--plus don't want the vibrations to mess with the pin in it. I'm going to let it heal a little linger. Time to do my winter MODS once I can use the hand again. VROOM VROOM

I'm getting about one ride to work in a week. Depending on the day it is either 14 miles or 70 miles round trip. Spring can not come soon enough for me. I'll handle the cold if it is not freezing, avoid rain if I can, and never ride in the snow or a hurricane again. That's right, I said "again". I must admit the hurricane was the worst of the two. Hmmm, must be getting old.

Ride to work every Friday and almost every weekend. But living in Florida, that is kinda easy. I would say it has been chilly to ride in the morning at 47 but I know I would get a ton of crappy emails saying that isn't cold. LOL

Would love to be able to ride, however, I would need studded tires and a snow plow on the front with a winsheild defroster! It was 1 degree this morning plus windchill of -20.

Didn't ride today, but clocked about 70 miles last night: 31 degrees F with 15 mph winds....so according to that chart someone shared, it was a brisk -21F on my way home last night at 70 mph around the Beltway. Yeeehawwwwww!
