Put the HardKrome straight thru baffles in and set the PMS to 2. Still running the 172.5 that came with the BAK and theBAK needle with the clip in 4th grove. Had to stop and back out the PMS to 2 1/2 - 2 3/4. Runs great at stop to mid range but in 5th at 60 - 70 mph seems a little so accelerating. Tried to do the WOT but couldn't really tell much. Guess I am going to have to put in the 175 and play with the needle some more.

Remember, the gear ratio in 5th on our bikes don't lend them to cause whiplash, so don't be overly critical of 5th gear pulling power, esp. around 50 mph. Doc, and others suggest doing the WOT test in 4th where you can get your revs up , but not to excessive speed, so, how does it do in those circumstances? Fiddle with carb if you need to , but if not...........................

Yes I did the WOT test in 4th gear and it seemed to pass I need to read the instructions again and do it again. I just got my Barons PMS screw in and will do the test again after I install it. I am going to dial it in as close as I can get it then take up to get dynoed.

I'm in the same boat, I'm gonna rejet (baron j/k ,pmbak), Then run it up to the local honda shop that has a new dyno, and get the final word. It'll tell you rich/lean, where, HP,torque, top speed , etc, all for 42.00

I'm gonna do the same with my bike this year...take to the closest dealership that has a dyno....its' about 95 miles away, and not to mention its a Harley shop....lol....although I talked those guys down there and they were extremely helpful and said that they take in quite a few metrics to get dynoed....their dyno will tell if you have a rich/lean condition, HP, torque, etc etc.....and they will tune your carb as well....if I remember it's like $50 or $60 per hour....I think it's well worth it especially if they tune the carb for ya. I'm very anxious to see what my bike is putting out.

Beef,

Not really interested in what your 'bike is putting out' but very interested to see what the curves looks like.

When you get around to doing it, post a pic of the dyno run.
