Removing passenger seat question 3 Years, 4 Months ago
I'm planning on removing the passenger seat and backrest. Question is......... once it's all gone what happens with the 3 holes from the seat bracket and the 4th hole from the back of the passenger seat?
I've noticed most of you guy's use the "fender rack". Does this use all 4 holes

Yamaha makes little chromed plugs to fill the holes. I'll be getting some soon since I just removed my rear seat.

As Mark said, chrome plugs, or you can go with a fender rack, or fender bib.

Yamaha fender rack and solo seat rail takes care of all of that and with chrome more is always better

There are leather covers that go on the top of the rear finder or you can paint the chrome plugs to match your bike color if you want. There is more stuff out there ya just have to search around to find what ya want.

My R* is black. I looked at the chrome plugs but they just didn't look right to me. Personal preference. I went to Lowe's and in their nut and bolt section they had different sizes of black plastic plugs. I found 2 different sizes that fit the holes and you really have to look to tell they are there.

I am using, body plugs!

NAPA 665-1143 Balkamp retainer

The big draw back when removing the seat, is the dents left by the
seat bracket mounts.
Still though it does look very clean.
