I was on my way back from Farmersville Texas today after serving as a Patriot Guard Rider at a funeral of a WWII Vet. I was on 380 west bound as I approached 75. I was in the outside left turn lane going to turn left onto south 75. It is a double left turn lane. Sitting at the stop light in heavy traffic a car in the inside left turn lane put their right blinker on. They wanted over in the lane I was in. When the light turned green, I gave way and waited for the car so they could get in front of me. I then proceeded through the green light, under the bridge, turned on my left blinker, still in the outside left turn lane, which is a left turn or go straight lane. Just start the turn I look over my left shoulder to make sure no cages come over on me from the inside lane when all of a sudden, some butch in the cage behind me lays on the horn. I look back and she is so close that I could have reached back and touched her friggin hood. She then proceeds to yell at me telling me to get the freak out of the road as she speeds off down west 380. MY first instinct was to whip it around and run her arse down, but heavy traffic would have made it dangerous to do so. 20 years ago, I would have. Heck, the way I looked 20 years ago, she wouldn't have done that anyway. I couldn't understand what the freak her trip was. I was pissed for a good long while for her getting away with such disrespect and being such a dumbshot in general. My Ex ole lady would have whooped her ass. Anyway thinking about it I came to the conclusion that she must have been pissed at me because I let that car in line in front of me. That caused her a delay of 3 seconds. Dang, what was I thinking? I am older and more mellow now, but I am still not one to mess with. As they say, I can still be stirred to action. Some people go through their lives doing stuff like this without ever realizing how close they come sometimes. Oh well, I just wrote this one off as another dumbshot butch. For the mods, if any of this post is out of line, feel free to edit it, I am just venting. I know most of y'all can probably relate.

No, no, not at all... can't relate. Nothing like that has ever happened to me!

I think you like to go off on these long rants and call people names on things that happen to riders all the time. Just ain't that big of a deal and not worth getting all worked up over. I don't let people that mean nothing to me ruin my ride.

Relax.....remember car drivers can be very unyielding. Just the world we live in. BB

Nothing like that has ever happened to me either, however this afternoon I wwas sitting at behind a lady in a f-150 at the light when all of sudden she puts the truck in reverse and starts to back-up ???

I'm thinking where in the hell is this lady tryin to go!! At first I really didn't know what to do there were car behind me. I finally found the horn and also yelled STOP!! turns around and see's me like where did you come from.. we'll theres only four lanes of traffic around you.

I guess the lesson here is even when you just stop at a light don't take your eyes off the one in front of ya.

She had a mechanical problem. Loose nut behind the steering wheel.

You got that right stinger, it seems like evertime you go out on the bike you learn a little more about the dangers of sharing the road with the cagers, they just don't see us I guess.

Isn't Dallas-Ft. Worth traffic great. I have my own personal set of back roads to get just about anywhere I need to go in Dallas. Makes the pilots crazy when I cut across the runway at Addison airport but it's safer than Belt Line.

It is obvious that impatient drivers are thoughtless and dangerous.
I would like to see that anytime a drivers license is issued or renewed, there would be a required ride on back of a motorcycle through rush hour traffic.
This is fantasy and I realize this could not be possible but it would open alot of eyes to what it is like to be on two wheels.
