Yeah Doc needs baffles . I just ordered the V&H 10" baffles They worked great on my Honda shadow . Anything else you think I may need to do ? seems to be running ok , the only thing I had to do was bump the idle up .No popping or back fire on decel. We have 10" of snow so the test ride is gonna have to wait . -5 deg. here this morning .

The weather's pretty crappy here too. I don't expect to be riding for another 1 1/2 months.

I think you may find that the bike doesn't seem to 'snap' off the line as before. Straight pipes tend to screw up the torque curve. WOT should be better. I don't know how much the baffles will help; depends how restrictive they are.

You might also get some popping under loaded decel but turning the PMS out a bit should help. AIS should be off.

Check out the Tech Tips section ....http://roadstarclinic.com/content/view/56/96/

There is a pic of the location of the PMS. It has a brass cap. Drill a small hole , making sure not to drill all the way through. Then use a screw to pull the cap off. Make sure you drill the right cap as there is another brass cap in the vicinity.

You need to take the carb off the manifold. I like to take it right off the bike.
