Re:Honey Do's 3 Years, 4 Months ago
The only list I have is the one I make for myself. Now that I'm retired, I have all kinds of time to get things done around the house. So I try and get as much stuff done that needs immediate attention. Today was 2 hrs. at the Gym and then about 4 hrs. pruning the trees around the house. But tomorrow it's a full day of riding! Temps in the high 60's.

hahaha. Good topic. Let me tell you something I finally figured out, but not until it was too late:

Every once in a while, you need to butcher one of the projects.

Next time you do dishes.....use liquid soap (like Dawn) instead of the powdered soap designed for the D/W......wife 'll kick you straight out of the kitchen (but you may have to clean up the mess) BB

sometime I will tell you about the first time I decided I would help out and run the dishes in the dishwasher.

I tried to run the dishwasher once.... Used dishwashing LIQUID soap (for the sink type) and ended up having a kitchen full of bubbles and suds that puked out of the dishwasher steam vent... I learned that "dishwashing liquid" and "dishwasher detergent" are indeed not interchangeable!

I tried to run this fangled new clothes washer and used "dishwasher detergent" because we were out of "laundry detergent"..... I learned that dishwasher detergent is FULL OF BLEACH! (not good for blue denim!)

I tried to run the clothes dryer, and figured "Hi Heat" would get the drying done faster....
I learned how angry my wife could get when she found out I had "shrunk" all her prized outfits.

She learned not to give me certain "domesticated chores" on the Honey-Do list.

Then SHE went and dumped "radiator antifreeze" into the "windsheild washer antifreeze" tank in her van.... a nice smeary mess on the windsheild.

"SHE looks after the HOUSE ITEMS, and I look after the GARAGE ITEMS"

I have "tried" to help around the house before and shrunk the clothes too I didn't understand that most of the clothes get to hang dry It cost me a LOT at the store the next day.
Bright side I NEVER have to help with the laundry now.
