back to basics build thread 4 Years, 5 Months ago  
hello every one as some of you may know i just sold of tons of parts from my roadie. When i bought the bike it was dressed up like a indian, and that just wasent my style. So i decided to tare it down and build the bike i want.
this is the build thread "BACK TO BASICS" i will post pictures as progress happens.

OK here is a list of parts that i have just bought
hellbent exhaust.
dyna 3000.
solo seat.
L.A.Choppers lowering kit & spring.
Custom bar clamps.
new billet headlight & turn signals.
side mount plate and brake lite.
Extream drag bar SS basicly a strait bar.
new handle bar grips.

Already Installed
hypercharger
jet-kit

Sounds like you've got you work cut out for ya. Did you get your new tins yet? Can't wait to see what it looks like.

just got my rear tin but im gonna wait to do the tins untill i can afford the rims.
im gonna do a 18" 240 in the rear and 21 inch in the front. its gonna cost me;

21x2,15, Steel rim, 56 stainless steel spokes, Chrome plated rim, hub supplied by customer - $780.00

18x8.5, Steel rim, 56 stainless steel spokes, Chrome plated rim, hub supplied by customer - $880.00

tires $300.00

shipping $100.00

total $2060.00

my goal is to be done by spring.
however i might need to change the name some one has already done a back to basics bike. and its a hardtail.

You may want to consider Harley wheels, You can get those cheaper.

Yeh, and with the savings, you may want to consider a soft-tail. It's more expensive, but your tail will thank you for it!

i dont know why some may think im building a hard tale i said the other bike that was called back to basics is a hard tail i plan on keeping mine a softie.

if i got some HD wheels how much would it be to getthem to the correct offset and get the brakes to work? to me it seems like it would cost more?

by useing the stock hubs i can keep the dual rotors in the front and keep the back brake as well.
