Hi! My name is Gordon. I live in the Kansas City area and I ride an 01 R* Silverado (Root Beer and Burgundy). I stay pretty busy working as a telecomm network performance specialist and playing bass in a classic R&B band. The band cuts into a lot of my riding time but that's OK since I love them both. I'm a veteran of the USAF with active duty '69-'73, and active Reserve '82-92. I'm on marriage #2 and I have three kids - all adults now - and 6 grandkids. My oldest son is an engineer with a utility company in Calif. and has two daughters. My daughter is an RN here in KC and she has four kids - three boys and a girl. My youngest son (age 22) is still at home with me but making plans to move out on his own. YEA!!

Welcome to the clinic Gordon!
Good to have you here. We have at least one other R&B bassplayer who posts here and a few guys from KC.
Good to have you onboard

Hope to have the bike done in about 3 weeks. I have a custom top tree that is in for chrome, then I need to make the handbars for it.

Guess I should "formally" introduce myself.. Did a real bad job last time around..
Born in Yuma Arizona and raised in Wyoming. I can proudly claim that I rode my “first” motorcycle in Casper and have had quite a few even after that.
Retired Navy Chief in 1986. Currently employed as a “beltway bandit” (NAVSEA Contractor) with the DDG 51 Class New Construction program in Bath, Maine.
Better half of 25 years (Suzanne), three daughters, two Granddaughters and two Grandsons.
Wife was very skeptical about me getting back into a motorcycle due to the death of a very close friend of hers in High School. "She" suggested that I needed to look into a bike again !!! Took delivery of ol’ NUGGET in July 03 and it’s been a love affair since…(for both of us). Wife really likes the ride and as I mentioned before, takes every opportunity to take control of the back seat when she can. Together (since July 03) we’ve rolled up 11,000 (+) miles and wife repeats herself, that had she known how much fun this was going to be, that I’d of had a “ride” many years ago.
Glad to be a part of the Clinic and enjoy the Forum also.
Road Stars are definately a "way of life & love"...
Just gotta keep control of the credit cards...
Dave

Hi I'm Vince (Booda) and I just joined the clinic last week, BTW today is 03-08-05. I just learned from Gram how to work things in here. This clinic is awesome and full of great info. I currently own a 2001 V Star Custom which is for sale and a 2002 Roadie which I love. Having a windshield is the best thing since sliced bread. One other good thing about the clinic is I can access it at work since the computer police don't block it. I'm even going to list my V on the new classifieds. I'm retired USAF and work for a DOD agency called DLA in Richmond, VA. I have a wonderful wife and two children one college age and one elementry school age. Well that's it for now Hello to all ride safe!
