You are welcome. Please keep us posted. There is alot of good info on the 05's here. If you get a chance check out the tech articles. About anything you would want to do is covered there in detail. Also the search feature in the upper right is a great tool. Good luck!

Just one more thing, I know that when mine sits for more than a few days, I have to use full choke, and NO throttle. If I touch the throttle while the choke is full out, the bike will only continue to turn over, but not start.

The kickstand thing is "Gotcha" thing... the bike will start in gear, ONLY if you have the kickstand UP and the clutch pulled. If the Kickstand is down, the bike MUST be in Nutral.

Hope to see some picks of her soon! BTW, WELCOME to the clinic!

Re:Hello to one and all 3 Years, 3 Months ago
Tried again today, just a quick check before i attempt the starter fluid. Two attempts and the battery gave up. On the charger now, but it will be a few good hours before i can try again. BTW thanks for the extra info, kickstand has got me before on my first bike (an 84 virago) I couldn't figure out why it kept on dying out when tried to put it in gear. In the end i thanked the bike for the effort at saving my moronic self.

I was going to mention your battery may not have enough "juice" to kick it over, so hopefully the scoot will start for you after recharging the battery. It's probably something else, but it never hurts to know the condition of the battery. In addition, you might want to make sure your battery connections are tight.
