Anybody know of any good quiet baffels for the longshots? I love the looks of them but they are starting to annoy people riding with me.

had the longshot's too
very loud plus the bark!!
ordered cobra baffles years ago (cobra longs not the speedster long pipes) cobra baffle is a little different, a little better but still loud!!
if you measure your v&h baffles o.d. i will check my speedster long
stock baffles. if the same size I would order the new cobra quiet baffles for the speedster line (install them into your v&h longshot's)
just a idea!! should do a great job!!

Great! Thanks i will do that tomorow and let you know.I usually order all my stuff out of j@p catalog but they dont have anything for the longshots.Your right, they are loud. At first i liked them, but now they are wearing on me.  |

I have Longshots, and have toyed with the idea of wrapping sheet fiberglass around the baffle to quiet it down some. Has anyone tried this before?

I did the fiberglass thing with my HK's check my site for instructions. I make my own baffles that way I can get the performance and the sound I want. I got rid of the HK's and am running the Bub Stubbies now. I like loud pipes.  |

Man.. I don't think my Longshots are all that loud.  Maybe because the sound is more rumbly than it is, "blat blat blat!" like some guys I've ridden with. I don't know...  |

I'm with you Frank! You can make em loud with a quick twist, but just cruising I think they're only moderately so.... and I love the rumble. Of course, I left my baffles in.

There is a tech article here, Vance and Hines Longshot baffle mod that may soften them up enough. It appears to be a really simple $2 or $3 mod, maybe easier than pulling out and replacing or wrapping the existing baffles.
