Mine fell over once too... fortunately the car parked next to it broke its fall, and nothing was damaged... on my bike, that is!

My eyes would be too drenched with tears to even type the post! Only 9 miles and already got some battle scars. That's just not fair.

Good luck getting her back up to snuff. Check ebay for the replacement parts and you might get a deal.

It would not have been to bad, but it was bike nite with about 100 bikers watching the incident. Thank God she had a full face helmet on.

Ouch that hurts. I dropped mine once just two weeks after a new custom paint job. Was at a friends ranch and his dog kept circling and circling me. I was beening cautious and watching the dog. Went to get off the bike and forgot to put the kick stand down. My leg broke the fall and I just got a small ding on the tank.
sucks

I've dropped mine three times. Each time, the highway bar/peg saved me from taking any damage, other than to my pride. Sorry to hear about the damage to your baby... Good luck.

Things I've learned:

1. Angled driveways and parking lots are to be avoided, or if they can't be, BACK into the parking spot. Backing out of an angled spot and then turning the wheel the way you would on a car, is a sure recipe for dropping the bike.

2. The front brake is a no-no at parking lot speeds and ultra-slow maneuvers.

3. Gravel parking lots are The Devil! I've never dropped my bike on one of them, but trying to gain purchase when trying to back out, is just murder.

I haven't dropped my bike in months, but I'm always paranoid about it.

It was a warm 30 degrees in Iowa on Sunday so I decided to get my new 07 midnight silverado w/ 9 miles on it out for a ride w/ a couple friends-as I was waiting for them I fired up my bike-walked away to shut the shed door and turned around just in time to see my bike hit the ground.

I'm a "glass is half full" kind of guy. You gotta look at the bright side, at least you got that out of the way for the season. the rest of us still gotta worry about it all summer!

Sorry to hear that she took a spill Rubber Duck.

Sheesh guy. You got lucky with that broken strap on the haul home only to have that happen.

Hopefully the insurance company will get you fixed up for the season.

Do you have a riders bell? Sounds like the Gremlins are all over this bike, you need to do an "Exersium" on her!
