Fever, I just read you post again and gave you the wrong answer. My upper is level with the axle nut. Sorry, sometimes I start assuming when I'm reading.

I have had the Cobras on for over 2 years and 20,000 miles. They are in MHO perfect in that they can be ridden without annoying anyone, like leaving the neighborhood early in the morning and they will softly purr out. When you get on it they raise their voice so it can be heard. On long trips they are great, the sound is like music to me. I have the standard baffles and have no issue with them. I ride with several guys that have V&H and when we go down a side street they are setting off car alarms. My Cobras have only set off one car alarm that I am aware of. Quality it very good. The only reason I would change is that sometimes when I am 2 up the bottom pipe will drag a little. It is better since I cranked up the suspension. If I change it will be for the V&H Power shots to gain a little clearance.

Thanks onthego, I think cobra did these pipes right, not to long, not to short, and slashing them right at the angle of the swing arm, emphasizing the softail look.

I have them also and they look and sound great, but if I were to change them I'd go with the warlords from samson and dualies.

Stinger I plugged the AIS and that took care of the popping. Amazing!!! I put the power commander on hoping that would fix the problem without plugging the AIS......the power commander was a waste of money. All the different maps did nothing for the popping. I took the power commander off and just plugged the AIS and she runs great. I am saving the power commander for when I change the intake.
The Cobra pipes did drag a little, when my wife was on back (don't ANYBODY repeat that in front of my wife ), if I made a hard right turn and the road was banked on the right. Hard to explain...when I turn right going over the top of the bank the pipe would drag. She doesn't weight a lot, but you know how they are. I have stiffened the rear spring and will see how that works.

Just installed a set of the Cobra slashdowns and the F2000R for closed loop system and together woke the bike right up.(2008 Road*) Put a set of Cobra quiet cores in and the sound is perfect for me. Louder than stock but not obnoxious. Trying to figure out if I can use the Dyna 3000 for 2007 Road* on my 2008. By the way, the pipes look great.
