use wd40 to clean aluminum soak the metal with the wd40 let it sit for a few then wash it off if its a car engine something under a hood after you clean it you can spray it on again and leave it on.

for polishing aluminum i use noxon 7 first over and over and over some more, then i use mothers metal polish and it works great!!!

windex on chrome

if your in a jam and want to polish aluminum spit and some aluminum foil works lol

If you spray a little wd40 on a screw before you start it into a piece of wood, it will sail right in and not crack it.

Does that count??

I used dish soap on wood sure it counts someone might build wood saddle bags never know

When cleaning your bike, you have to remember that you Polish the painted surface, then apply wax to protect. Wax only will not work, it will hold the imperfections like water drops and acid rain under the wax against your paint making it fade sooner.

Polish, then wax! Large water drops are NOT good for paint, they cause paint fade, you want the water to sheen off, and not stand as large magnifying drops.

Plexus for a quick clean with micorfiber towels. Cleans everything from paint to chrome to the windshield. Keeps the scoot purdy.

I can't seem to even park my bike in the garage after even a short trip as I will end up with boot marks on my chrome pipes.
'0000' It works!! pure steel wool works wonders on the chrome pipes without damage. Using oven cleaner also works as long as you use a chunk of cardboard behind the pipes your spraying on to avoid overspray.

Three Things I found useful!!!

I've used Kuick Kleen spray on paint & chrome for several years.....Works Great!!!

Second,
I found a set of stubby metric combo wrenches which are great for oil changes and to carry in my "small" sissy bar bag...Got them at Harbour Freight tools....

Third,

I took apart an old air compresser I've had for years... made a simple mod(just a bracket to hold it off the ground).. Put a set of battery clips on it and now have a small compressor I also carry in my "small" sissy bar bag!!!!!Cost about $3.00 to make

Hope it helps!!!!

Silicone Spray

This stuff works great to spray on the whole bike after it's been washed. Keeps all of the hoses and rubbers grommets like new. Helps keep that new look. I don't think this is any better than any of the dealer brands, (Yamaha, Honda) but at 5.00 a can at Home Depot, it's definitely cheaper.

As far as it goes for paint protection, I probably can count on one hand the waxes and polishes I haven't tried. Regardless of what your polishing, if it has paint, this stuff is incredible. Easy to apply, easy to remove and leaves no dust or residue. A little pricey, but once you see how seldom you have to apply this stuff, it really isn't expensive. I did one side of my tank with the meguiars (bar, polish, wax), which is great. And the other with the Zaino. Can't even compare the two.

Zaino
