I got to be honest with you, its a crap shoot with batteries for these things anymore, I really don't know why. Yuasa has always made a good battery, unless they are sitting to long in storage or not being stored correctly is the only thing I can think of.
The dealer I go to was shocked when I brought two back in a row, they tested it themselves because they didn't believe I could get two in a row bad. I bought a helmet instead

Wish I could tell you the answer to that one...

Yuasa makes good batteries. You need to check out your system and find out what killed your battery. Otherwise you could just end up frying the new one.

I went through the same as Hotelfox had two bad batteries in a row. They couldn't believe it and asked if I would bring the bike by. The third one was a charm but you do need to check your wires and make sure they are tight and grounds are grounded. If you are running running light it will drain your battery. It use to be ok to run my lights 55w had to go to 35 till june when electro sport is coming out with a 3 phase stator. maybe I'll add a microwave then

I would start at the battery and then go from there. Are you running your driving lights and it's cold out that will drain my battery I know for sure.

No driving lights, don't even have blinkers front or rear- headlight, and recessed led teardrop brakelight-And l keep the bike in a heated garage.Think l'll hit Sears tommorow and pickup the diehard.
Would a 10amp automotive battery charger burn out a battery?? Maybe my bike chargers no good.

Doc, if the voltmeter isn't at 13.7v with engine running, that means the battery is shot?

No ... your charging system puts out 13.7V. You batter by itself should read 12V.

If your battery won't hold a charge then the battery is bad. If your system is not putting out 13.7V then your charging system is bad.

The Service Manual has a good procedure detailed to tell you where the problem lies, otherwise you're buying parts you may not need
