Estimated labor hours - BAK 3 Years, 1 Month ago
I would like to install a K&N filter within the OEM air box with jetting adjustments as required. I have a jet kit installed, but have no idea which kind or where it's set at. Any estimates/opinions on labor hours required for this work?

If you are just changing to the K&N filter and using the OEM box and cover, I do not know why you would need to jet. If you are going to open the filter up and let more air in then you will need to. Are you planning on doing the work or having it done?

The bike is running lean with a sharp backfire. A slight pull of the choke will find a sweet spot. I have added exhaust baffles and would like to add the K&N filter. Wouldn't this require rejetting? I would have the dealer do this work.

Dealers usually have a book value for work performed. If not .... I'd guess that they would charge about 1 to 1.5 h based on how long it takes me to do it.

Dealers here in Texas charge $70 an hour. Need to learn to work on your bike yourself and save $$$$$$$$$. There are articls here that will help you plus all the guys that have done this before.
