fuel flowing..or not? 2 Years, 10 Months ago
This is strange. I start my bike up and the fuel pump runs for about 7 seconds and it never runs that long unless all the lines and carb are dry. I go for a 60 miles ride and the bike runs friggen awesome! I ran it real hard at times and slow and easy sometimes and it ran great! Tonight I'm messin with the bike and turn the key on and the fuel pump runs a long time again. I look at the fuel filter and it doesn't have much fuel in it at all. Usually it's 3/4 full. I pull it and blow thru it and it's clear. I install it and fire the bike up and rev it up and there is hardly any fuel at all flowing thru the filter. I ran it for about five min. and it never died but there was hardly a trikle of fuel flowing thru the filter. I couldn't find any leaks and didn't smell gas either. Weird.
