Just got a great profile pic submission. For those who don't know, I sold the bike in my sig some time ago. I sold it to a friend who moved to Texas (and unfortunately passed away a couple of years ago).
Today we got a profile pic submission from My old bike's new owner. The new owner is forane410. I can't tell everyone how great it is to see that bike find its way back to the clinic.
Welcome forane410, looking forward to your participation here. If you want, I can switch my sig pic over to you.
Welcome!
Its like finding a family member that you thought you lost

I love the bike. It turns so many heads (men and women). I am just now having a bit of trouble with it, so I began looking online for forums that could help me. I happened to find Roadstarclinic.com and saw a picture of your bike. I was so amazed that I have been all over the site to set up an account, upload the picture, and find out how to contact you. I purchased it from Ernesto Gomez, he was a close friend to my father. I drove the bike to his funeral to pay my respects. I am only 5'6" so I am stretching to reach the forward controls. But I love the bike so much that the discomfort is worth it. I will search the forum to find a solution to my problem with the bike sputtering and backfiring when I run it in warm weather. I dies about every 1/4 mile. When the temp is cold, it runs fine. I will post my problem in more detail to find a solution.
Great to finally contact the creator of this masterpiece.

That bike has a vacuum Fuel pump. Its a fairly lightweight pump so might be whats causing the problem. Thats assuming the fuel filter is not the problem. Replacing the pump wouldn't cost more than about $20. You can get them at any snowmobile shop. Or, if you think that is the problem, you could replace the fuel inlet valve and just go pumpless (wasn't an option when I built it).

We called him Gooey. I am sure you all did the same. He was a good, decent man. For those who did not know Gooey, he was a decorated Vietnam medic. And he earned his respect both in the military and out. I was sorry to hear we lost him.
