I don't recall anyone here running them. There are some at Ape Hangers rEvolution that are. As far as being able to use them with a windshield, I would think that would depend on how upright you have them. http://forums.delphiforums.com/1100RidersTest/start

I had a buddy that ran them, but without windshield. He had to use their risers too. They are incredible looking bars. Wish I could help on the windshield part, sorry.

I run 16" apes with a fairing and Used to with the Road* windshield it would depend on the angle You mount them at. I run mine just slightly forward of being parrallel with the forks hope this helps.

so I pulled the trigger on a slightly damaged set. 18"x1.5" Will probably powdercoat them, but apparently the blemish is not noticeable so I can run them chrome for a while to see how that looks to me. Will run the shortest big buffalo riser for 1.5" bars. Now I am looking into the cables.

Hit up a company called motion pro for your cables they can get you the clutch +10" and throttle pull +10" for less than $100 shipped then you can order a make it yourself brake line from dennis kirk using drag specialties stainless universal brake lines and Russell 10mm screw on fittings for around $50 shipped no waiting on them to be made which seems to run aboout 3 weeks.

ape pics

so i mocked up the 18's and it is going to be close. I am hoping that i wont think they are too tall once I am done. I think i may be ok though. anyhow....i think they look pretty tough. now i am ready to order my cables. any tips on how i should order if i am thinking that there is a chance i might have to drop back down to 16's eventually? do i order them slightly tight, or can i just route them differently. want it to look clean and not have a lot of slack.

18 ga is what a lot of people use. Just make sure you use STRANDED and not SOLID. (pls don't ask me how I know...... )
