If you buy a Stebel or WoLo horn for your scoot and did not get a mounting bracket this is for you.
BTW you can pick up a WoLo horn cheap at a Harbor Freight. I got mine on a trade, I sanded the Chrome and painted it Rustoleum Metalic black (Kinda matches engine black paint) I read here that the chrome didn't hold up well so I shortcut that, what i drive through, ya know!
No mounting bracket solved.

This is your puppy! It's a device used to secure cables on frames of vehicles, Sturdy metal strap with bolt holes and a rubber overlap to prevent chaffing and in our case guard against vibration. You will 1st form or shape it to the location on the frame and then remove the rubber part, primer and paint it your choice of colors. I might add that on a 2007 there is one of the welded tabs protruding from the frame just below where I put the holder on the frame, this is common on the bike for holding cables but I think mine is not used because of
AIS removal. It makes a good stop to further prevent the clamp from sliding down.

Above shown ready to mount minus the paint. It goes around frame (As pictured later) and then the bolt goes through the two holes, loose then the slot on the horn slides down over the bolt and the horn holds the bolt end while you crank it tight with the nut end. Use a lock washer of your choice. I painted all my parts prior to installation. You can find this cable strap at Lowes hardware Dept. Or an Auto or truck supply.

I use Rescue Tape for my install You can get it online or at a Love's truck stop or where else?
Anyways it is a silicone tape that welds itself to itself in seconds, I wrap it around the frame to aid in vibration resistance as well as made the clamp fit tighter and add traction to the surface, you may use soft electrical tape in place of this if you need to. CAUTION! Buying Rescue Tape is dangerous! It's about $10 US dollars a roll comes in many colors and has too many uses especially on Bikes, it is a habit only second to chrome!

The factory horn wire is maybe 5 amps, you need 18 amps to make this horn blast it's best, it's a mini air compressor so you will need a relay and to run some wires and terminals. You start with above wire and a terminal at the POS terminal of the Battery on your scoot. NOTE: I leave factory horns in operation on my install because rumors here say the horn can fail, So, I have three operating horns at all times. You decide what you want to do.

You must always fuse a power wire as near the battery as possible in case Pos Wire gets shorted out. Above is an in line fuse located just inches from battery on POS lead. After this 20 amp fuse line goes in wire loom directly downward to bottom of bike, across under and secured to frame with zip ties and to the horn relay.

Above you see the 10 Awg (Overkill a bit, 12 will do) wire in wire loom and a blade terminal end ready to be secured to the #30 post on the relay. (30 = power from source) (Battery) The loom prevents chafing of the wire insulation and should be standard when running wires that carry current on your bike.

This is the relay, notice the numbers beside the blades (terminals) well each mean something. In this case
30 means that wire goes to battery POS
87 Goes to the horn + terminal (The Load) (BTW - on horn goes to frame ground, I used the existing horn bolt as ground)
85 and 86 are interchangeable the two wires from your horn now hook one each to 86 and 85. This is what trips the relay and sends power from the battery through the relay and to the Horn POS.

relay will have numbers as well as a high tech
map on it, Trust me on where the wires go will ya?
This relay is 5 blades, You only need to use four. If you have a 4 blade relay that is all you need but a five will work too. Just don't use the extra center blade.

Shown here is bottom of my horn, a POS + comes out and goes to the 87 on the relay.
The Neg. (-) comes out and goes to a round terminal as pictured above but instead of going to the battery this one goes to a good ground, I picked the Mounting bolt for existing Horn and I used a grounding washer (Star) and a dab of dielectric grease or bulb grease for protection. Notice I used the rescue tape to cover terminal ends and hide them.

Above is a demo on how I tapped into the horn wires. I used Blade terminal taps. Top Left is shown alone and the you can see one on the relay. notice the terminal tap secures to a blade and makes room for two blades to be secured to the one blade. I hooked these terminal Blade Taps to the horn, and then hooked the existing horn plug uncut to the 1st set of new blades and the second set goes to terminals 85 and 86 on the relay, Now when I push horn button these wires trip the relay, yet leave my factory wires uncut, unmolested and intact.

In this pic. you can see factory plug on bottom of factory horn and the additional blade going Up towards the relay 85 and 86 terminals.

Ok cut the BS MS1700 and post the dag gone picture of it mounted! There it is, All in black, the cheapo "I run in the winter." install I blast this for friends and family and they don't even know where it's at even looking, I have to point it out. So, that's to say it blends in.

A shot from front right of bike looking back at it.

Same FR shot looking back close up, you can see how the clamp fits on frame.

Shot here from left of bike. Notice factory horn still mounted and working, although you can't hear it Ha Ha!

Shot direct on from left side of bike.
I did this after I did my install on request. You asked for it you get it. It's the best safety feature you can add to your scoot! You WILL be heard with this, Even deaf people will react to this horn! (Must be the sound waves!) I saw this horn in action and I got one mounted up next day! Loud pipes won't save as many lives as these! And........... These are legal! Woooooooooo!
I have tested this puppy over 100 MPH, and for so far 500 miles, No problems at all. Very bumpy Ohio and PA roads and interstate speeds. It's a solid install. No vibration, no problems. Looks like a lasting install!
Now, can someone solve my puking gas problem please? I can do a lot of things but I need a how to on that.
If you find this article at all confusing or unclear please PM me I can maybe change something for others.
