These tires are great. Soft and extremely responsive. I would recommend the tires to anyone replacing the OEMs. I got 15% off at Sunrise Cycles in Norfolk, VA with a great installation package.

I'm having a set installed on cast wheels this week. I'll change them out as soon as these stock Dunlops wear out and the front is going fast too. I had Metzlers on my "97" Royal Star and loved them.

Yep, I just put my second pair on this past week. Went with Wide White Walls this time, MAN! What a difference! Love these tires.
On a related note, The dealership didn't put the nice tidy little adhesive weights on the wheels. Instead, they put the big clunky weights that wrap around the spokes. Anyone have experience with these. My brother-in-law has an intruder and he apparently used some sort of ceramic balls INSIDE the tires as automatic adjusting weights--he says they work great. Anyone try these?

I run Metzelers too and love them but there was a thread here where someone that worked for a tire company and in so many words said that white walls are not as safe as black walls something to do with the layering of the white wall rubber.
Last Saturday I was looking at a buddies bike before a ride and noticed some nylon strings sticking out and was laughing at how he was still running his tire with a plug in it after looking a little feather I seen that he had a hug hunk of rubber missing from the center of his tire now that makes two times that this has happened with white walls so check your tires before each ride.

If you have tubes don't think you can use balls.Review on them has been positive.

I have had my 880's for about 3,000 miles now and I think they get better with every mile I ride.

My last set were the 880, loved them but the next time I went to change them out the dealership went sky high on them. I went with the Michelin Commanders. LOVE EM! Period! So, next time I need to change out tires, I now know that I have two choices, the Metzelers, or the Michelins, who ever is cheaper. Does anybody have the update on the Metzelers white walls made in Brazil? They had a quality control problem a while back, just wondering if it got straighten out. I don't ride white walls, but I'm sure some here do and would like to know the out come on that issue.
As for the "balls" thing I read that they do work, however, I like a lot of you, put some miles on my scoot so I carry tire gel in case I get a flat out in the middle of nowhere. If you ride with these "balls" I wouldn't want to learn the hard way when they can't counter-balance because of the gel. Seems all the balls would clump up on the gel. I don't think they are for me.

I got the wide whitewalls. Wife and daughter nixed going with the blackwalls. I'll keep an eye on them though. The dealer used the globby weights on the front. Does anyone know if weights are available in stainless?
