I was thinking about installing a larger set of bags and a trunk on my 07 Silverado and in my search came across the
http://leatherlyke.com/
web site. Has anyone seen or used either the bags or the trunk? If so what did you think? the price is not all that bad. the silverado bags i currently have are USELESS!

I used to have Leatherlyke bags on my Virago. They are pretty sturdy and you could actually lock them. The only thing about them is that they fade in the sun, but I used to wipe them down with those leather cleaner wipes and they would shine right up.

I ran a set on a Suzuki Intruder for a year and another set on a VStar for 4 years (53K miles) and never had a complaint. I prefer the styling of the Yamaha hard bags on my '07 Midnight Silverado but if you like the styling on the Leather Lyke bags then they would probably work well for you.

I had the stealership put them on my 2000 when I bought it new. Fit is good, I'll echo on the finish fading and that the silicon base wipes do bring it back. I had mine about 6 years before they were retired. The only real issue I had with them was they cracked aroung the mounting holes. These were always very tight on the studs and a little tidious to get on and off to wash. All and all a pretty good bag for the money.

I had a customer bike in the shop which had leatherlyke bags on it and another customer saw them and said that he liked the look of them and what would it take to get some. So I did a little research and found a phone number for them and called. They told me that they only deal with official dealers. They don't care what kind you sell as long as you sell brand new bikes of some sort. As an independant repair shop they are not interested in me!
