I'm thinking of cutting my brake pedal bracket and welding a 1 1/2" extension on the bracket and painting it black. Saves $135 over purchasing an extended bracket, the master cylinder stays where it is and I can re-use my stock pedal.

Any reason why this isn't a good idea? (as long as the weld is good, that is)
