Idle Adjustment 3 Years ago
Is it possible to adjust the idle on a 2008 roadstar with fuel injection? Mine seems to be idling too high. Thanks for any input. Greg

Roadliner is NOT adjustable , perhaps you Roadie guys are more lucky in that dept. On the 'Liner , the computer does all the work , no knobs or screws to turn. BB

Welcome , BTW

I am a gizmo kind of guy. I like all the buttons and adjustment knobs to turn. Makes it seem like I am doing something for the person who doesnt.

You are probably not used to the OEM idle setting and it seems high to you.

I know I have lowered mine a bit as it sounds a bit too high at the stock setting of about 900 rpm.

If the idle sound has no character to it all but doesn't vibrate the heck out of the bike you are probably close. You need a tach that will read a 2 cylinder motor.

Won't a tach that will read 4 cylinders work since these rides are 4 cylinders
