Saddlemen: Any problems? 3 Years ago
Friday, I ordered the S3500S luggage set from Saddlemen. I received a confirmation of payment from PayPal, but from the company, I haven't received a receipt, order confirmation, estimated shipping, tracking number, or anything. I've been ordering stuff via the internet for many years, and this is the first time I've encountered this.

Has anyone else ordered anything from them recently? I've sent them an e-mail. I'll give it until the end of the day, but if I don't hear anything, then I'll be canceling my order. This is just weird...

Give it a couple days Frank. Saddleman is a good product. I don't know if you ordered directly from them or a distributor but remember that a lot of companies have cut back on weekend help. Just may be that they have a skeleton crew on the weekends. Give them a call.
I have a saddleman pack and love it. Easy to load, easy to install and easy to get into when on the bike.

Yeah... I'll give 'em a call, when they open. I ordered this thing on Friday morning. I've had my eye on it for the past six months and finally saved up the money to buy it, so... I'm a little anxious.

Re:Saddlemen: Any problems? 3 Years ago
well I would say give them the 2 day period and then start calling. Clifford ordered me a bag from them and it truned into a fricking cluster of a mess. They sent the wrong first, then charged me the shipping to return it, then after 3 days of calling and wanting to get an answer as to why I was charged for their mistake I finally got a manager on the phone who did return the charge to me. Then 7 days later the new bag (2nd one) showes up. It's fricking used, dirts, missing straps and was not even in the "saddlemen" box. It was very obvious that someone had used this bag then returned it for some reason?? The bag was covered in dust and grime inside and out, was not wrapped in plastic, had not a single tag on it and had dirt on the inside too. None the less I finally got a new, clean, unsed bag from them 4 days ago and it is a hell of a nice bag. I spoke with Jerry on the phone, he is a nice guy and understood why I was so pissed off from the get go. He did make it right in the end.

I would give until Wednesday of this week. Some companies take 2 days or so to pull an order, and depending on what time you ordered it on Friday, they won't even check the online orders until Monday. And then a couple more days before it is actually shipped. If nothing shows up on their web site for your order by Wednesday, I would be calling them.

800 397 7709 If you ordered directly from them. I was told they have very scant amount of product at the actual place of business, most is in a warehouse somewhere so I suspect your dealing with the storage and shipping unit. But I'd call now and voice my concern so they might change the process and get it more up to date.

On the other hand I just ordered two things and a lot of people are now not sending anything until they get their money from CC company. Sign of times.

I don't care so much about getting it instantly, but when I called up the guy in charge of internet orders, he was a bit of snot about it. He insisted that he'd sent an order confirmation. I insisted that I hadn't received one. I was polite, but he was a real di... er.. rude person about it. I received the second confirmation that he sent, and then I wrote him back and asked if there were an order number or some kind of reference number, to which I received no reply.

I'm losing patience with them. I'm about one more rude incident away from calling them up and just canceling my order.
