The county I live in here in Florida, doesnt even do automobile smog checks. So hopefully it will be a long way down the road before they attempt to perform smog checks on bikes.

Well, it's still a PROPOSED bill - not passed yet. If worse comes to worst, let's sell our bikes before 2012 and buy a 1999 year model! Or just get new bikes and keep them stock.

:-DD.

Rally support for your cause against all the Greenies. But you know, they will pass this bill as a way, in its feeble attempt, to raise revenue in a bankrupt state. How many registered bikes in CA? I would say the odds are stacked against you.

I still have my AIS on the shelf and anyone is welcome to have it if/when this bill passes and you need them. Of course I have an '04 and earlier models need not apply.

You figure they would want to check older bikes instead of newer bikes. I mean around DFW auto wise its generally the older vehicles that get smog checked when they get their yearly inspection. Never seen them do a bike, but you figure they would want to hammer the crap out of older running bikes. Kinda seems backwards to me.

Well with that IDIOT Govenor we have, hopefully he will drop his cigar and come to our rescue, as he too rides. I'll bet a Nickle to a Doughnut he doesn't smog anything, new or old! Not too worry, even modified bikes can be passed. I have an exhaust gas anlyzer, to set my (C0) to around 2% before testing.
