BIG GROWL PIPES=BIG MISTAKE 4 Years, 1 Month ago
just got some "big growl long rifle" pipes in to replace my damaged cobras and man oh man you get what you pay for. they were $100 shipped from jireh cycles and are "made" by ultima. upon opening the box the first thing to greet me was a MADE IN PAKISTAN sticker. this only got worse as inspecting the "beautiful show quality chrome" there are flaws and bumps like welding splatter chromed over. the "heavy wall tubing" is about the same as standard muffler tube. i did a trial fitment on the bike and the flanges are off. the holes are close but no cigar, same for rear mounting holes. i will try to get a refund but after reading jireh cycles policies i doubt i will. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PIPES!!! they are a poor quality product in my opinion. oh stupid hurts again.

Hoodratt,
Sorry to hear this. I saw some of these Big Growl pipes on Ebay and thought about buying them, but when I couldn't get any info on them other than what was given on Ebay, I decided against it. I tried contacting these guys,www.midwestmc.net (who are the "exclusive distributers" of Big Browl pipes) to get some info, but never got a reply. So I figured that if they can't take the time to respond, their product must not be worth buying.....

Again, sorry to hear ya got burned and good luck with getting your money back. If it ends up that you don't get your money back, I'd go on any and all motorcycle forums and spread the word about Big Growl pipes and to stay away from them....

In The Wind,
Aaron

I don't know what the exact relation is between Jireh and Midwest; if you get a catalog from each they are identical except for the cover. I suspect that they are one and the same; Midwest is wholesale only and Jireh sells to the public. Ultima is the house brand for Midwest. I have an account with Midwest; if you will fax (863-386-0015} me a copy of the paperwork from Jireh I will talk to Midwest and see what I can do for you.

thanks for the offer clifford. i just got off the phone with jireh cycles. the rep. gave me return number for a full refund but at first wanted me to ship at my own cost. i explaind that the return was for a non fitting part. i was put on hold for a short time and when she came back online was told UPS would pick them up at my house and no charge to me! good customer service...poor product. back to the stage 3's for now.

slash cut slip on silencers at 100 bucks the pair, end of line.

good quality, sound good, and IMO a total bargain.

And mine. Erizo gave me the same advice some months ago and I haven't been sorry. Awesome sound and they look sharp.

Hoodratt,
Glad to see things turned out good for ya. It's good to know that Jireh Cycles is willing to stand behind their products. (Or the products that they sell.)

I must say that if your going to buy a good set of pipes for your R*'s your going to have to put out around $400.00 otherwise your going to get junk pipes. I'm going to clean up my Samson Big Guns and sell them for around $150.00 if your interested.
Here is a pic of the pipes just prior to me removing them.

The pipes erizo and I have were closeouts, normally selling for a little over $350 (might still be some in stock). Such a deal. Like hardone2get said, a good set will be around $400 or so.
