Rivco Air Horn Install 6 Years, 10 Months ago
[I moved this to New Tech tips, DL]
For those of you who think the stock horns are on the low volume side as I did, put on some air horns.

Rivco model: AHMULTI

First I removed exsisting horns.

Mounting bracket (for air horn) to leftside down tube (adjacent to starter there is a small nipple on frame down tube, I mounted bracket about 1/2inch below that)

Remove seat, and left side cover, and tool kit

Air compressor fits perfectly where tool kit was, and rubber strap holds it in place

Relay sits next to Pos. battery terminal, use tie-wrap to secure it to existing wire bundle. This also keeps wires to battery/relay short and neat. I wired hot and ground directly to Bat.

Run 2 wires (from relay) to exsisting rear horn connectors (bout 18" long) I wiggled them down to keep them out of sight and tie-wrapped them at bottom frame.

Air hose also wiggled down, and tie-wrapped at inside lower frame to keep them out of sight, run them to air horn and connect.

TEST. Beep...Beep
Good to go, replace side cover, seat, tool kit.

Post edited by: DL, at: 2005/03/29 07:03
