After not being able to read the electronic clock on the speedo... I finally popped for an aftermarket clock, and I think I found a good one. This one:

http://www.clocks4bikes.com/Stem_Mount_Clocks.html is really nice. The owner Ross and his wife Linda gave me great customer service, and the clock was there in three days by USPS in my mailbox.

They were a real pleasure to deal with. Fast service, a free allen wrench, and free shipping... plus a solid guarantee. This clock is very well made, easy to see, and looks fantastic on the motorcycle.
