Johnny come lately here............Yeah Doc , Grey cap (same color as the bottle). I have used it for 10,000 miles in my 'Liner (got 11,000 on her now , so since break in) , and for about 15,000 or so in Wendy's Magna. We have experienced no issue whatsoever . Should we be? I push the 'Liner hard too , have had no clutch issues. Thoughts? BB

I have no idea.

I've read quite a bit of material on oil and find that most is subjective and suppositional ..... it's hard to get facts.

The best way to be objective is to have guinea pigs .... like you

My feeling is that the 15W50 Grey Cap is not substantially different than the Red Cap for our applications, but we won't know for sure until we see some serious mileage with that oil.

Luckily I have enough Red Cap to see me through your testing phase.

I used the Mobil 1 15W 50/grey cap/Bottle.No Clutch slipping
issues what so ever. Also used the walmart Filter.I`m gonna go with
this from now on.Went to Phrump yesterday for breakfast, topped the
speedo out at 112mph for about 4 miles Love my bike have seen
higher top ends but with a richer set-up(167.5 main at this time).
Engine sounds great,like a fine Watch,only louder
