I like my low and slow Roadie and she can sure climb up a mountain when I need too. I've been coast to coast on her and loved every minute of it.

I wouldn't be to down on the Roadie being "slow". I'm reminded of story called The tortoise and the hare. I think we all know how that turned out .

I agree. Anyone who is trying to make a Roadie fast has got a long uphill battle. I've had and raced some very fast bikes in my life and that's just not what these bikes are about. I bought mine for comfort! I love climbing in the rockin chair RS, plenty of torque for comfort. Enough power to be safe and all in all a beautiful, reliable, comfortable bike to cruise on, manufactered by a company known for reliablilty. What a deal!!!

I've raced supercross motocross and superbikes for the last 15 years, now it's time to slow down.

I have been happy with the power /torque that my stock bike puts out....the addition of a set of Bubs (mainly for sound)gave it a little more pep.
Even when I was in my teens I would have buddys build up a 1/2ton chevy pickup for the 1/4 mile drags that weighed 6000lbs and I would say to myself, why not choose an A body chrysler product or camaro that weighs almost half.
Although to each his own....if everyone did the same thing, it would be pretty dull.

I second that,
A RoadStar makes short work of any "LONG UPHILL BATTLE" with all of it's massive torque.
If someone is after a speed demon off-the-line, they'd be better to look at the RS WARRIOR.
Yami made TWO different bikes for TWO different desires.

You can't make a CORVETTE out of a DURAMAX.
And you can't make a DURAMAX out of a CORVETTE.

Two entirely different vehicles, two entirely different inteneded purposes.
Some people will never realize that you can't have everything in one package when it comes to bikes or cars or trucks... You cant pull 18,000 lbs. trailer with a "fast" Corvette.

So the answer is.... Own one of each!!!

Crotch rockets are fast , hence the name. But lets see if thier riders can ( or would even want to) ride 300, 350 or 400 mi with the comfort a Roadstar can deliver. It's nice to reach a distant location and still be able to stand upright.

Amen on that, I just had my bike dynojeted and I'm dynoed at 73.55 HP and 105.38 max Torque to the rear tire, I don't expect to keep up with a sport bike but I know I can out run any other cruiser.
My Roadstar is a freak and after my engine mods shes amazing
