All, I am looking for some insight and experience here, please offer you suggestions.

When I brought my new 2007 Road Star Silverado home, I experienced a "twitchy/wandering" feeling at a displayed 55-60 mph. I thought the bags and the windscreen may have just been pushing the bike around more than my old bike (12 years ago) with no bags or windscreen... As I did more homework and after a ride with the wife along, I discovered that the dealership set my tire pressure to 36 front, 36 rear and the rear shock preload was set to the minimum. These settings are appropriate for 150lb rider, but I'm 225 and the wife adds 110...

So, I set the tire pressure to 36 front and 41 rear (please confirm this is correct) and set the reaer shock preload to max. This helped around town, up to 55mph solo and with the wife significantly!!! But when alone I got up to a displayed 65 mph and I still start to get that twitchy/wandering sensation again. I don't want to invest in an upgraded 1000lb rear spring, and/or upgraded shock if that is not the prime suspect (or if there are less expensive adjustments I can rule out first)!

My bike is a 2007, but brand new, 0 miles, no fluids until I took delivery at the dealership.

Please let me know your suggestions.
