I don't know where in the Metro-Mess you ride, but I saw lots of bikes. I ride from almost Waxahachie to Love Field almost every day (the SV650 has 52,000 miles for a reason). I saw at least a half dozen in the morning, and in the late afternoon, I saw 10 or more on the Durrty South Side. I even had a lady get on the highway in front of me on a 1100 Star at the jailhouse on-ramp, and she waved me past in the HOV southbound. She was obviously not an every-day rider. She looked nice, smelled nice, and never got above about 50 MPH. Anyway, I see about 5 "regulars" every day, and if you see someone on an 03 Silverado Silver edition with no windshield, or a 2002 Yellow SV, driving it like they stole it, that would be me.

I ride to work every day. Lately mother nature tells me when it is time to head for home; it starts raining.About 2/3 of the time lately I have been able to avoid getting wet; however, if we make a habit or traveling on two wheels we have to face the fact that once in a while we are going to get wet.

I always wave at scooters...usually I just get a dumbfounded look in response, but I just smile...

It's funny...almost everyone who rides a scooter has all the protective gear on--helmet, jacket, gloves, boots...and most of the bikes I see are ridden by guys in tee shirts, shorts & tennis shoes. Go figure. The way the people (cagers) around here in NM drive, everyone on two wheels should be wearing a padded armor suit.

I'm on the other side...I ride from NorthWest Plano to Richardson pretty much every day. I haven't seen another silver/flames in DFW so its probably me if you see it! haha

Scooters, in my books, are deserving of more than just a quick little wave like other bikes. I usually give them a very expressive "rock on" hand gesture, simply because its fun and they probably don't get much attention from other folks. PS, I rode to work too, and today I'm off so its out into the mountains I go!

I ride to work most every day that the forecast doesn't include rain and the temps are above freezing. As for waving to scooters, I use the seventies left fist in the air salute.

I only have #1 rule if it's raining when I leave its 4 wheels if not its two. I don't like a wet a$$ at work and I don't care how cold it is so about 270 day a year

I actively protested against this holiday as it's unfair. Why? Because I work at home!
