Well, as I mentioned in a previous post last week some unknown idiot where I work screwed around with my Maxair PMS screw and I lost it on the ride home one day. That night I went online and ordered a new one. As soon as the order goes through I get a popup about the company closing for almost 2 weeks for their yearly ride. Of course I emailed and told them that if it wasn't going to be shipped until AFTER the ride then to cancel and I would order from another company. "No problem; part is shipped."
I get the box today and open it to find a pair of VStar PMS screws. I guess they were all in such a hurry to leave that they weren't paying attention. So I'm screwed for another 2 weeks.
I did find my original screw but I'm missing a washer and the o-ring doesn't look good. Tried to make a washer with a #4 washer and grinding it down with the Dremel but I can't go small enough.

I would try a small engine shop or ace hardware for the parts. You might get lucky or the dealership might have what you need. Sorry to hear you received the wrong part. I have had good luck with them.

Well, here's an update:
Well, today is the day they were due to reopen from their ride. I got an email from them today and as I was replying I got a call. Actually from the owner, I believe.
I have to say he went well beyond what he had to and I'm a happy biker now. I have a new screw on the way and we are all good.

Well, one thing for sure you have the patience of a Saint and the restraint of ten. I'da shot someone for messing with my bike. Glad everything worked out for you. My bride and I are traveling to North Carolina to visit with our daughter and son-in-law. Dropping my scoot off in Mississippi at her uncles house then traveling on to NC. Come to think of it, her Altima was assembled in Canton, Mississippi. Love traveling through your great state. Nice Magnolias. Lone*Road* (LoneStar RoadStaar)

Only restraint and patience because I had no idea who it was. If I did...

Thanks for the good words about Mississippi! I would like to see more of Texas too... along with most of the rest of the US.
