Welcome to the clinic bassfishman, Lots of good people inside here.
I happen to have an 08 and I love mine, I Never touch anything but the key to start it up and ride no matter how hot or cold outside. I wouldn't trade my 08 Roadstar for nothing. I say the Chrome, Fuel Injection, and 0 Miles on an 08 is Worth every penny of the $3,000 dollars.

With the two choices you put up I would go with the FI. That said I have over 40,000 MI's on my '06 and loved every mile If you can't deceide flip a coin and get what you like.

OH and

Price the stuff yu think yu want to add after the purchase....every bike is different, just like every rider... I bought mine '06 Silverado because i knew i wanted bags, windshield, backrest.....It all adds up fast.....Sounds like a great deal on the 08. Have fun, Ride!

The deals are out there ... got an 08 Silverado S for 11. I love it and blue you are right turn the key and go... you forgot the hydraulic lifters no valve adj for 16000 miles.. Mine is quiet, runs very smooth, quick and great gas mileage. Put 4000 mile on it in less then two months.. I could not be happier . Time to get on and ride talk to you all later
