Ported manifold or stock 7 Years, 1 Month ago
I purchased a manifold at a swap meet for my 03 Road* they had already taken most of the rubber out dowm to the aluminum. Is this a still usable manifold? It still looks like new on the outside. All of my bike mods are if my profile. If I install this will I need to change any of my carb jets? Thanks Steve

Unfortunately I have never been able to figure out how to see a USERS profile on this board. Pretty bad for a guy that builds web sites I know. You are probably fine. What you described is normal for porting the manifolds. I did mine with a Dremel tool and it seems to work great.

The profile you are referencing is most likely on Delphi, as we don't have any publicly viewable profiles here in the clinic. Ditto on what Crash said. Take the time to really check out the manifold for cracks anywhere except where the carb spigot attaches to the head runners (that area has aluminum under the rubber). Should be fine. GRAM

Thanks for the reply, here's how my scooter is set up hyper charger roadhouse dooleys dyna 3000 set at 34a (I think) 160 Mikuni main 37.5 pilot jet needle 4th groove, w/shim and plastic washer under clip maxair PMS about 1-1/2 turns out dyna-coils and wires do you think I will need to change anything here? Steve
