Yes there is a big differance the rear rotor is 13 inches in diameter the fronts arn't that big. The 99 - 03 had floating calipers and solid rotors. 04- and up have fixed calipers and floating rotors. The floating rotors are two pieace that is what the little round doughnut looking things are on them. Don't use solid rotors with fixed calipers you CAN use floating rotors with floating calipers. In other words you can use 04 and up rotors on a 99 - 03 bike but can't use 99-03 rotors on an 04 and up bike. Is that clear as mud? BTW the rear rotor can be used on any of them and they are solid rotors.

There isn't any differance unless you go from the 2 piston front calipers to the newer 4 piston calipers. The rotors are the same thickness and diameters just one is solid the other is 2 piece floating. The rear rotors are all the same and all have 4 piston calipers.
