You know Coach, I had "Back in Black" cranking on the system in the shop while I fabbed this up!!

Mak, The best thing is that I can just pull it off with the 4 stock shield bolts, then I can run naked again!!

Looks great Fireman! You say you made the mounts... I wonder if they'll work with my current MS mounts??? Hard to tell from the pics... Also is there any place to put speakers? I was looking at their website last night, not a lot of specifics there.

Tim, Thanks Brother. MS is planning on bringing out a R* mount in a few months. I'm sure it will mate up with their current quick connect mounts. I wanted to have it mate up with the stock shield mounts so I had to make my own. There isn't any place to put speakers. I guess you could shoehorn in a small head unit if you got creative, but it isn't designed for a sound system. Wide Open makes a nice fairing if you want to have sounds, but those fully optioned fairings are heavy. The exhaust is the only music I want when I am riding.

Looks really good and you did a great job on it. I would send a pic to them as your bike could be a poster child for their product. I love being able to remove mine just using the 4 stock bolts too! Funny thing is, since I've mounted it, I haven't had the desire to remove it!!

Fireman, thats one of the hazzards of riding with a fairing. I put my windshield back on last year....for a day . Fairing went back on. you just get used to the look, and the protection . come to think of it...i could probably sell my stock and wide/tall shields since i probably won't ever use them again.
