I've committed to two others to send some out, I have one left. If I send one to one of you, would you be willing to buy one and send it to the other?

OR.... You each could buy one and send it to the other???

I don't mean to be a fly in the soup, but I have never heard of a "riders bell", what I have found is what Jesus Christ did for me and I placed my trust in him and do ask him for protection for myself and others before and during each ride. Since he is the only to ever be seen physically ascending by over 500 witnesses I suspect he is very able to do the same for me, not because of me but because of his care and mercy.
I don't mean to start any religion war or nothing as we live in a free country were all have the privilege to trust in what they understand as they see fit. I also served in the military for a long time to ensure that freedom remains for a while.
Just a thought
Happy and safe motoring

I have never believed a bell would protect me, but it will remind me of those who have fallen while riding their two-wheeled steeds, and also of the common fellowship we share on this forum. The act of helping our fellow man, whether by an act of kindness or giving a rider's bell, without reservation, is Christianity at its finest, imho.

I understand what you mean Tusler, and I will always be grateful for what Christ did for us and what he means to me, but also to a fellow forum member who's kindness will always be remembered by me as well.

Edit: I knew I forgot something. Tusler, thank you very much for your service.

Well said. As Pappa Tom said, it's also to help remember our fellow fallen riders. The cross is a reminder of our Lord. As riders, we need all the help we can get.

I wear a cross for my belief and protection (even have one tattooed on the back of my throttle hand!) and I hang a bell on my bike for awareness and remembrance of those that have gone down.

And, as karma would have it, as I was covering my ride for a brief sun shower yesterday, I noticed that my Eagle Bell was missing! I had it hanging on a key ring on the right brake line holder on the front fender. the ring was there, but no bell. I've NEVER heard of one breaking off, so I assume this one was stolen. I hope it serves someone else well.

Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

Thank you for enlightening my ignorance, I am not superstitious but I do like remembering fallen comrades and in many cases I enjoy riding as it is today because of the sacrifices of others who cared about this life style that went before me. You are correct we should always remember them and their families, that is the very thing that sets a brotherhood apart from the regular society. Like Jesus said..if ye love one another then shall they know you are my disciples.
