backfire when decelerating 2 Years, 10 Months ago  
2007 yamaha v-star 1100 silerado.It backfires now when I decelerate on the road. It didn't used to untill recently. I cleaned my Kry--- after-market air filter and that helped a little. Filter was really dirty. Do I need to spray carb cleaner to? Thanks.

If this just started, check your exhaust header bolts. If they get loose at the heads, it will suck air and cause backfireing.

All it ended up being was a loose and split vacum hose going to the air cleaner! Thanks
