Also, what is the sensor-looking part that is on the clutch lever perch? should one wire going to that have power without the bike running? That's a new one on me, maybe you have a headlight modulator..?.. FYI..when you get ready to check continuity, be sure to disconnect the battery or you could fry you new meter...
